An album of sadness and pain

Photos at Himeji City Zoo

This is the cruel and true portrait of a "prison" of innocent animals that have been removed from their habitats and their families and condemned to spend the rest of their lives in cramped spaces and inadequate environments in a zoo in Japan. Do not be indifferent and join us in this fight for your liberations.

Also called the southern sea lion, is a species of sea lion in the Otariidae family found in Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Argentina and on the southern coast of Brazil.

Magellanic Penguin (Spheniscus magellanicus)

A South American penguin characteristic of temperate waters and temperatures between 15 degrees centigrade and below zero. The penguin was first mentioned by the Portuguese explorer Fernão de Magalhães, who spotted it in 1520. A curiosity about these animals is their lack of fear in relation to humans, as they can get as close as possible without feeling threatened.

Counterpoint

Park inside Himeji City Zoo

The amusement park inside the Himeji City Zoo, very popular with children, is the cheerful counterpoint to the sadness, discouragement and despair of the animals that emanate from the place. While the children (as well as the adults who accompany them) have fun, the animals, very close, just want to be free. In two photos, you can see Himeji Castle in the background.

Help us in this international campaign to free the animals from the Himeji City Zoo and by extension those from around the world who are suffering in captivity, continually tortured and exploited, all in the name of outdated entertainment that only pleases sadists. Do not be indifferent to the suffering of innocent creatures that have been forcibly uprooted from their habitats and forced to live in environments that are inconsistent with their nature. They need your help, now. Please consider making a donation, however small and in any amount, because we don't have any government or private sponsorship or subsidies. The entire resource will be used to maintain and reinforce this campaign in defense of the freedom of animals. We thank you very much for your supportive collaboration.
